Holy Summer, Batman.
What to do when you've only got a nap-time between yourself and a two year-olds birthday party? Consult the blog world and your stash.
This skirt pattern is complements of Three Peas and the lovely Rebecca (who is apparently a fellow Portlander AND a Mathematics whiz). I'm normally not a fan of the peasant look-- but it looked like a great twirling skirt and let's face it, I only had an hour and a half. It turned out a bit longer than I had hoped, but I was winging it with the sizing. Little Miss Two didn't seem to mind. This is one of the great things about craft blogs-- people's willingness to share. So thank you to all of you who find it in your hearts to publish things that help a girl out.
It is warm here-- warmer than usual anyway. Paul fixed up my bike with new brakes, lights and a metal basket for Mama's Day. It's so pretty. I'm not all that pretty riding her, but I'm getting better. Finding the legs I lost somewhere in College. We've been riding in the evenings to all our many social engagements (ha!), and after we manage to wrestle a screaming child into a helmet and trailer the whole business is so dang delightful. When Sam stops hating us and starts enjoying the ride, I can't think of anywhere I'd rather be.
