But I'm sure you can. I'll quit with Mr. Blue Eyes up there for awhile.
It's been so nice just hanging out with people the last few days. The weather has been really great and Sam has been so content. It's weird. We DID LUNCH the other day. He sat and ate, and I sat and ate, and we both just sort of looked around at people and pointed at things. If you saw us, he was the one with the fingers up his nose, and I was the one glaring at all the crazy dogs left to their own devices amongst fellow diners.
And look at this-- Sweater Weather!! Maybe not this weekend (supposed to be hot again), but it was today, and it will be again soon. Those are three fabric pins from Blissen. Normally one inch pins sit in a jar on my dresser untouched. These seemed just right tonight. Paul heads out of town briefly tomorrow. He'll be back by Sunday giving me plenty of time to be with my sewing machine this weekend. Amy lent me her Sew U book to see if I liked it enough to buy-- AND I DO! In fact, I went ahead and ordered it. If you are scared of the pattern sizes (up to 12) included, I wouldn't worry about it too much. Her patterns are put out by Simplicity and can be bought larger at your local fabric store. Chances are someone in your life will benefit from the patterns included and the book is JUST REALLY GOOD. And worth owning-- at least for me. **
Oh! Paul was given his practicum/student-teaching assignment today (for January) and it turns out he got into our neighborhood middle school!! I'm pretty sure nobody else wanted it, but we're pretty happy all the same. And for all of you waiting on pins and needles for thank-yous from his bday, I'm going to have him write his own little "What I Did in Vegas" post when he gets home. With pictures. So.
**Edited: As Amy pointed out, those three patterns are exclusive to the book BUT Built By Wendy has four others (a couple of them similar) put out by Simplicity that go up to size 20.
