This is the last of what I promised to Bolt. Hurray! I'm really liking the dimensions of the square-ish ones-- 7 by 7 by 5 1/2. I hope they are well received. Some of you kind souls have emailed me about wanting your own boxes. I'm hoping I can get something together for the new year-- you'll be the first to know!!
Now for some more trim cuffs, and trees, and maybe some new clothes!? It's hard not to get sidetracked out of gift making and holiday prepping. We'll be part host to lots of family, and I suppose I should set myself a cut-off date for "making" in order to reclaim the spare bedroom. We'll see.
Sam and I are inside a lot these days. I can't be bothered to go outside (he doesn't like to wear pants, let alone a coat and gloves). So along with the music and the forts and a little crying and a tiny bit of yelling, I feeling really lucky that I'm getting much of anything done. It helps that he's old to enough to play along with all the making. And it helps that he is cute. Most importantly, it helps when I remember how lucky I am to be able to spend this good time with him.
**Strikkelise wrote me a great note yesterday regarding the Norwegian legitimacy of the apple cake. I've included it along with her recommendations in yesterdays post.
