That was good, right? Taking a break from me? I thought so. You're all too nice to say it, so I will. And really a "break" is only a silly way of saying "I'm off over here doing whatever I always do, I'm just not writing about it today". Well, enough of that, I'm back to writing about it.
Things to note during my absence:
- The pressure in our shower magically returned one morning. I literally quite nearly burnt my ass off.
- Sam caught some footage of late, great, Steve Irwin and has since been LOUDLY pronouncing words that end in 'er' as though they end in 'ah'. "Watah, in my tub, I need WATAH WATAH WATAH". To describe the depth of its ridiculousness is to probably offend several people groups, so I'll leave you with this,Southern Hemisphere: My Kid is Representing.
- I ripped through the best estate sale in five minutes and now might be haunted by it for the rest of my life.
- I spent a lot of quality time on the phone with people that I like. In some cases, we even met face to face. Also, I made a trifle . And some dinners which are of little consequence.
I figured out this blouse by redrafting the pattern. I hesitate to go into great detail, save to say that a normal full bust adjustment won't work. Or at least, I can't get it to work. WHAT WILL WORK, and what is so much easier is to just add inches onto the upper top pattern piece while maintaining the integrity of the stitch line. That's right. Slap those inches on. I traced and redrew that pattern piece and called it good. (You also have to add the same amount to the facing pieces that bring the front together. Keep the bottom front piece the same and you can hem it up to match in the end).
As always, you can email me if you have more questions. And for the rest of you who are super duper tired of this conversation, I'm nearly done. I promise.
