Aha! Sewing. This is the third time I've used this pattern, and the second time I've used it with wovens. It's a lot more tunic-ish than the last one because it's pretty much also see-through. Awesome. I might actually attach sleeves to one of these tops at some point and slim the whole thing down some-- I would then need to insert a zipper under the arm to help my from falling over sideways getting it on and off (if you've ever put in a zipper on a skirt, putting one other places is almost as straight forward). I also have some crocheted lace that I might attach to the bottom, but there is some question as to whether or not my hips need that much accentuation.
This is a really good pattern for someone looking to move beyond the skirt-sewing-- partially because the sizing is very forgiving (there is a huge "ease" between your measurements and the finished garment measurements), and partially because the little details are nice but not super fussy. It calls for stretch fabrics, but that doesn't necessarily mean knits as there are loads of stretch wovens out there begging for a chance. I used lightweight cotton and dark grey bias tape for the neck and armholes. I keep forgetting to insert something good like piping or trim in that chest seam, but that would again beg the accentuation question.

Uh, they are rerunning Carrier and I'm having a hard time not watching the whole thing a second time. It is so good. Also, Nancy is up to her old tricks again and running a series on sewing knits with lots of information on actually sewing them and not serging them. I learn more in 10 minutes of distracted listening than I do during hours of distracted trial and error.
