I drove the boys (er, CHILDREN) up to my parent's house last week. Sometimes I think it would be good to move back there. Other times I think that horse has already left the barn. They have such a good time with their cousins and grandparents and aunts and uncles. Plus, they got to shoot a pellet gun and Truly could stay in that swing all the live long day if not for the rain.
- I've had Bahamas on repeat since I got home (Afie Jurvanen's project). I made an 8track mix in celebration of Canada Day on Monday.
- Truly and I stopped nursing on Monday and all sorts of biological and hormonal hilarity has ensued. She has two teeth on the bottom and one giant tooth on the top and when she screams at me to give it up, she is scary adorable.
- I'm working on "Ocean Waves", a quilt pattern from Denyse Schmidt's last book. It's for Manny and it is slow going because, well, I'm slow.
- I did not have my usual tremendous thrifting luck, but I did do a little shopping while in B.C. LIBERTY. After peeping this dress at Sharalee's place, I made haste and got myself to The Bay where they have a huge collection of Liberty dresses (and coats, and blouses, and shoes). Not all of it is online, but what's there is all on sale. Lord and Taylor has some, too. It's not quite Tana Lawn, but it's pretty dang close.
I'm not in quite such a panic at the beginning of this summer as I was in last, but maybe I'm just fooling myself. I'm just planning to keep the popsicles coming and hope that the sprinkler covers a multitude of non-plans.
